Info
Inner Rhythm: Music from the Criminal Justice System lands at Purcell Room in London on 20 November 2026 with a night built around singer, songwriter and performer Izo FitzRoy. Known for blending soul, gospel and blues with choral instincts, she brings her voice and sense of collective performance into a new piece co-produced with the Irene Taylor Trust and the Royal Academy of Music, shaped alongside people with lived experience of the criminal justice system.
The music draws directly from artworks connected to Koestler Arts’ Rock, Paper, Scissors, turning images and stories into songs and textures performed live with a string quartet and additional performers. Alongside the concert, the evening keeps the conversation open with spoken-word moments, a Q&A and a panel discussion, extending the work beyond a straight set and into the ideas that sparked it.
