Info
Goodness puts the focus on bass weight and blurred edges with Andy Stott and Carmen Villain on 12 December 2026 at ICA Bookstore, London. Stott’s set is built for the slow burn: techno and dub pulled into half-time, thick low-end pressure, and airy details that cut through the murk. Expect heavy rhythms, hazy textures, and those sharp contrasts he’s known for, where abrasive surfaces suddenly open onto something melodic and suspended.
Carmen Villain comes at the night from another angle, moving between dream-pop instincts and minimal ambient dub. Her music leans on spacious grooves, muted bass, soft repetitions and small melodic motifs that feel like they’re drifting in and out of focus. Flute-like breaths, discreet pulses and a strong sense of space turn her performance into an immersive listen that still keeps a quiet, physical drive.
