Info
On February 13, 2027, Monsters of Punk Festival lands at the Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin and goes all in on raw edge: an evening that bridges the lines between UK82, hardcore, and D-Beat. The focus is on The Exploited’s long-awaited Berlin date, whose stark tempo, shouted chants, and socially critical lyrics have sparked between Street Punk and Hardcore since the early 1980s.
Discharge bring the uncompromising D-Beat sound, which continually revolves around war, militarism, and state violence: short, hard songs, crunching guitars, and that dry, pressing force that continues to resonate today.
Joining in is a roster that drives the whole affair forward: Conflict and The Varukers as UK hardcore institutions, Hass and Manege Frei with a clear edge, Shell-Shocked for additional punch, and Dezerter from Warsaw with fast, tension-filled tracks and Polish lyrics about power mechanisms and conformity.
