Info
On Friday 30th April 2027, 16 Horsepower bring their long-awaited UK return to Electric Brixton in London, with the core trio back on stage: David Eugene Edwards, Pascal Humbert and Jean-Yves Tola. Born out of Denver’s early-’90s independent scene, the band has always sat in that tense space where roots music and alternative rock collide, pulling from Appalachian folk, bluegrass, gospel and country without ever playing it straight.
Expect a set built on traditional colours and rough textures, with instruments like banjo, concertina, lap steel, upright bass and other old-world tones pushed through a modern, post-punk-informed intensity. Their songs move between fire-and-brimstone storytelling, haunted ballads and reworked folk material, keeping the sound lean, physical, and emotionally charged. After years away, the reunion that reignited in Europe in 2026 lands in the UK in 2027, a chance to hear this singular catalogue live again, loud and close.
