Info
On January 17, 2027, Frazey Ford lands in Glasgow for a show at City Halls & Old Fruitmarket, bringing that rare blend of folk songwriting and slow-burning soul. First known as a co-founder of The Be Good Tanyas, she’s since shaped a solo sound where acoustic roots meet R&B grooves, carried by a voice that plays with timing and texture rather than sheer volume.
Expect songs that move at their own pace, with space for grit, warmth and detail: the kind of set where a simple guitar figure can sit next to deep-pocket rhythms and a Memphis-leaning feel. From the intimate moods of Obadiah to the smoother, more band-driven colours heard on Indian Ocean and U kin B the Sun, Ford’s live shows tend to focus on phrasing, story, and that in-between zone where folk and soul overlap. Support will open the night.
