Info
Emeli Sandé comes to Melkweg in Amsterdam on 26 February 2027 with a show centered on her powerful voice and her love for piano-driven songs. Based in contemporary R&B, soul and gospel, she effortlessly shifts to pop with an orchestral edge, as she has shown since "Heaven" and her breakthrough album Our Version of Events. Live you can expect both large, emotive ballads and tighter tunes in which she pushes her sound toward modern soul and rhythmic pop, in the vein of Long Live the Angels and Real Life. With Let's Say for Instance and How Were We to Know, she shows that she continues to write from emotion and detail, without frills, but with plenty of space for melody. In Amsterdam, that repertoire gets the chance to come close: intimate when possible, grand when it must be.
