Info
On March 12, 2027, MPL sets up shop at La Coopérative de Mai in Clermont-Ferrand with its collective identity distinctly its own. Born under the acronym Ma Pauvre Lucette, the group advances as a band, with this sense of chorus, storytelling and staging that transforms their concerts into small pop ceremonies.
On stage, their songs rub up against hip-hop, with electro touches and a highly narrative writing, where dark humor and the intimate respond to one another without stepping on each other. From the early tracks that built their mythology to the albums L'Étoile, Bonhommes and their more stripped-down reading of En Montgolfière, MPL circulates the same collective energy: stories that unfold, choruses that bring people together, and a way of blurring the borders between French chanson, pop and rap without forcing it.
