Info
On March 3, 2027, at Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver, Jack Kays brings “Jack Kays And His Band” onstage, leaning into the hybrid sound that’s made him stand out: indie-rock nerves, hip-hop phrasing, pop-punk punch, and emo tension, all stitched together with big melodic hooks. First known for releasing tracks in the SoundCloud rap orbit, he’s since pushed his writing toward a louder, more alternative lane where guitars bite and choruses land fast.
Live, the band format matters: these songs are built to switch gears between singing and rapid-fire lines without losing momentum. Across projects like Morbid Mind, Mixed Emotions, the Voice Memos EPs, and later releases such as Caffeine and the two-part Deadbeat! series, he’s kept a direct, confessional angle, circling themes like mental health, isolation, and dependency. Expect a set that moves between tense verses and cathartic payoffs, with that pop-punk/emo energy hitting harder in a room full of people.
