Romare brings his live setup to Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on February 11, 2027, for a night built around his collage-like approach to electronic music. London producer and DJ Archie Fairhurst shapes tracks the way a cut-and-paste artist builds images: fragments of jazz, blues and soul get flipped into slow house, broken beat and downtempo grooves that hit both the head and the hips.
Known for early releases like Meditations on Afrocentrism and the Love Songs series, and later for albums such as Projections and Home, Romare’s sound has kept evolving from sample-driven constructions to more played, melodic textures. On stage, that translates into a set that sits somewhere between a DJ session and a true live performance, reworking his material in real time while keeping the dancefloor pulse upfront. Expect warm low-end, crisp percussion, and those soulful snippets that make his tracks feel instantly lived-in.
