Man/Woman/Chainsaw land in Leeds on May 5, 2027 at Project House with their London-bred, collective take on noise-pop. Started in their teens by Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen and later grown into a six-piece, the band moves fast between alternative rock, post-punk bite, and art-rock angles, built on tension: tight, nervous rhythms, abrasive guitar lines, then sudden openings into cleaner, more melodic stretches.
On stage, the sextet’s shifting roles and songwriting dynamics are a big part of the point, with songs that dodge neat verse-chorus comfort in favor of fluid structures and abrupt turns. That restless energy has carried them through the UK live circuit since the early 2020s, and into a new phase with Fiction Records and the single “Only Girl.” Expect a set that leans into contrast and motion rather than nostalgia, with new material shaped for the room and the volume.
