Info
On 20 November 2026, Todd Terry lands at the Jazz Cafe in London for an extended session built for dancers who like their history hands-on. Coming up from Brooklyn’s late-80s underground, Terry helped shape the New York house and hip-house crossover: tough drums, chopped vocal hooks, and that sample-heavy swing that sits right between hip-hop attitude and disco warmth.
Expect a set that moves through the different shades of his four-decade run, from raw club tools signed under his own name and aliases to the smoother, vocal-driven edge he brought into the 90s through remixes and collaborations. Over a long, four-hour ride, he’ll stitch together classics and deep cuts, keeping it simple, percussive, and relentlessly functional: the kind of house that doesn’t talk too much, it just locks in and carries the room.
