Info
On November 28, 2026, at the Opéra de Limoges, Richard Bona and Alfredo Rodríguez share the stage for a face-to-face encounter where everything rests on listening and groove. On one side, Bona, a Cameroonian bassist-vocalist based between Paris and New York, is known for his melodic playing and for weaving rhythms through jazz, African music, bossa nova, funk, and song. On the other, Rodríguez, a Cuban pianist who trained at Havana’s conservatories and was spotted very early by Quincy Jones, blends a precise, classical-inspired writing with Afro-Cuban momentum and improvisation. In this duo, Bona’s bass and voice dialogue with Rodríguez’s piano in a no-net format, where themes transform, dynamics shift, and accents travel from one continent to the other. A meeting conceived for the stage, between virtuosity, textures, and rhythms, with the energy of a concert built in the present moment.
