On 10 November 2026, Matthew and the Atlas bring Matt Hegarty’s songs to Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow for a set built around Temple and its acoustic twin, Temple Unplugged. Across the project’s fifteen-year run, Hegarty has moved from classic, bare-bones folk to wider indie textures, sometimes leaning into electronics, without losing that direct, introspective songwriting at the core.
This tour lands in a tight three-piece with longtime collaborators Emma Gatrill and Alex Roberts, which puts the focus back on touch and detail: acoustic guitar, harp, clarinet, banjo, piano and double bass shaping the songs in real time. Expect Temple Unplugged performed start to finish in the same intimate spirit it was made, alongside a smart selection from the wider Matthew and the Atlas catalogue, from early folk-rock cuts to later, more expansive band-driven moments.
