Luis R. Conriquez arrives at the Sala Apolo in Barcelona on September 25, 2026, with a show focused on today’s regional Mexican scene and that direct storytelling approach that has put war corridos in the mouths of a new generation. Born in Caborca, Sonora, he began by writing for others before stepping forward as a performer, and that songwriter’s foundation is evident in how he builds the repertoire and sustains the narrative, song by song. Since his 2018 debut with Mis Inicios, his career has grown at a pace driven by streaming and ever-larger stages. In concert, it sounds like a corrido tradition, but with a contemporary pulse: guitars, tuba, and melodies that grab quickly, between tracks already classics in his set such as El Búho, JGL, and Siempre Pendientes, and with nods to collaborations that have brought him closer to acts like Peso Pluma, La Adictiva, Grupo Firme, or Julión Álvarez.
