Info
On October 10, 2026, DeVotchKa lands at Chalk in Brighton for a show that leans into the band’s long-standing love affair with cinema and big, emotional arrangements. Built around the 20th anniversary of Little Miss Sunshine, the set spotlights music from the film’s soundtrack alongside other fan favorites that trace their path from Denver’s indie underground to international stages.
Led by Nick Urata, and fueled by the quartet’s ever-shifting instrumentation, DeVotchKa’s live sound moves between indie rock and a mash-up of Eastern European folk, Balkan rhythms, mariachi touches and cabaret drama, with strings and brass-like textures never far away. Expect tempo changes, bittersweet melodies and that restless energy that makes their songs feel both intimate and widescreen.
Support comes from Sons of Town Hall.
