On November 10, 2026, at the Train Théâtre in Portes-lès-Valence, Alela Diane will unfold that intimate, ear-level folk that has defined her since the early 2000s: a clear writing, carried by her voice and guitar, with a taste for ballads that sometimes verge on country without going overboard. From The Pirate’s Gospel to To Be Still, and then more recent records such as Cusp or Looking Glass, she has broadened her palette with touches of piano and strings, without losing the essential: direct, intimate songs that take on their full meaning in a room where people really listen. On stage, she favors tight formats and direct contact, letting the emotion settle in without artifice. In opening, Charles Pasi brings another colour: songwriting nourished by blues, soul and jazz, led by a slightly husky voice and a harmonica that is very present. From Mainly Blue to Bricks (Blue Note period) then Zebra, he navigates between organic grooves, electric tension and more acoustic moments. On November 10, 2026 in Portes-lès-Valence, his set sets the scene with band-energy and a sense of rhythm that ideally prefigures what follows.
