DJ Assault brings his Detroit-bred ghettotech to Pawn Shop Live in Edmonton on October 2, 2026. Active since the ’90s, Craig De Sean Adams has built a sound right on the edge between electro, Detroit techno, Miami bass and hip-hop, made for block-party pressure and warehouse volume. Expect a fast, no-nonsense mix: sharp drum patterns, heavy low end, chopped vocal hooks and that raw Midwest rave drive that’s always one foot in techno and the other in bass music.
Known for releasing much of his catalog on his own Jefferson Ave label, he treats tracks like DJ tools: tight structures, direct impact, and constant motion that keeps the room locked in. On stage, it’s less about long builds and more about quick turns, mic energy, and rhythm-first selections that hit hard and move on. With special guests on the bill, this night is set up as a straight dancefloor session, built for people who like their club music upfront and physical.
