Cock Sparrer comes back to where it all started: London’s East End. On 12 December 2026, the band takes over the Troxy for a hometown headline show that doubles as an early warm-up to their 55th anniversary celebrations. Formed in 1972, Sparrer sit at the crossroads of British punk, Oi! and street punk, with that straight-to-the-point drive built on pub rock grit, a bit of R&B swing, and flashes of glam and 60s beat.
Expect a set that leans into their core strengths: big choruses, fast hooks, and stories that stick to real life rather than fantasy. From the early sparks of “Running Riot” to the staying power of albums like Shock Troops and later releases up to Hand on Heart, this night is about the long game: a band that’s kept its identity intact while turning into a global live institution, now bringing the noise back home, just in time for a proper East End knees-up.
