Info
On 9 July 2027, Simply Red will bring their Summer Funk’27 tour to Halle (Westphalia), at the heristo-arena. At the center is, as always, Mick Hucknall: his instantly recognizable voice carries the warm blend of soul-pop, blue-eyed soul and soft rock that has defined the band since its formation in Manchester in 1985. On stage you can expect a setlist that naturally encompasses the major pillars of the band's career: from the early breakthrough moments with Picture Book to the more elegantly produced, melodic phases around Men and Women, A New Flame and Stars, up to the 90s hits where original material and covers sit side by side. It also includes material from the band's more recent period since the 2015 comeback, moving the sound between clean groove, mature pop and precise arrangements. An evening for all who prefer singing along to the songs rather than skipping them.
