Info
On January 26, 2027, Kim Mitchell brings his guitar-driven rock back to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. A key figure in Canadian music since the mid-70s, he first made noise fronting Max Webster, where punchy riffs met progressive twists and hook-heavy writing. That mix still sits at the core of his solo shows: tight songs built around big electric parts, clear melodies, and a straight-ahead vocal style that never drifts far from the late-70s and 80s rock feel.
Expect a set that moves between hard rock crunch and more radio-shaped, melodic cuts, the kind of material he sharpened after going solo in the early 80s and kept refining across decades of records, from Akimbo Alogo through later releases like The Big Fantasize. It’s the sound of a lifer: riffs first, sharp structures, and a stage presence shaped by years of touring and a long-standing place in Canada’s rock history.
