Info
On March 24, 2027, Girls in Hawaii returns to the stage at Den Atelier in Luxembourg, with that blend of indie rock and melodic pop that has been their signature since the early 2000s. At the heart of the performance are the voices and guitars of Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe, carried by bright guitars, understated keyboards and flexible rhythms, often threaded with a quiet melancholy.
In concert, the band draws from a repertoire built over time, from the early impulses of From Here to There to the more ethereal atmospheres of Everest, including the more direct songwriting of Plan Your Escape. The recent years have also opened the door to textures that are more contemplative and sometimes electronic, as on Nocturne, and to leaner, stripped-down reinterpretations of certain tracks. A date to rediscover Belgian alternative rock that is both expansive and intimate, conceived for the stage as much as for listening.
