Info
The past few years have turned Nate Amos's life upside down. Between his solo work as This Is Lorelei and the adventure with Water From Your Eyes, the New York musician has been honing his own universe: guitar-pop and folk-pop songs with a lo-fi edge, always with arrangements that feel familiar yet slightly deviate from the norm. On March 14, 2027, he brings this balance to Lisbon, at Casa Capitão.
In his first album for Matador, The Singer in My Band, Amos takes classic forms from the American songbook and bends them with small quirks, without losing the melodic line. In live performances, the charm is there: choruses that linger, acoustic and electric guitars alternating between sweetness and controlled noise, and writing that shifts the songs just enough to keep everything on its toes.
Following the momentum of Box for Buddy, Box for Star (2024) and the look back with Holo Boy (2025), this concert is an opportunity to closely follow a project that grew in silence and, suddenly, began to circulate by word of mouth — even with other artists picking up his songs.
