After the architectural and scientific exploration of the night before, Max Cooper returns on Saturday, November 14 to Club Wintercircus in Ghent for a long DJ set that allows more breathing room. Do not expect a loose hit parade, but a carefully built journey in which melodic techno, ambient, and experimentation alternate, with the signature Cooper approach: rhythm as engine, texture as decor, and a story that unfolds slowly.
Cooper often starts from ideas drawn from science, mathematics, and space, and you can hear that in his sets as well: patterns that repeat and shift, tension built up step by step, and moments when the dance floor can momentarily float. This night is less tightly choreographed than a live performance, but precisely because of that he can switch more intuitively, dig deeper for longer, and carry the room with him in a thoughtful dialogue between mind and body.
