Circles lands in Dublin with a night dedicated to Moodymann, aka Detroit producer and DJ Kenny Dixon Jr., whose sound has been shaping deep house since the mid-90s. Expect a set built the way he makes records: slow-burning, warm, and packed with soul, funk, jazz and R&B DNA. His trademark is that dense groove where vocal snippets, drum loops and bits of real-life texture blur into something both raw and hypnotic, with spoken word and rhythm doing as much work as the melodies.
