On September 19, 2026, ShitKid lays down its guitars at La Maroquinerie in Paris, with a somewhat peculiar backstory: Åsa Söderqvist’s project had an announced 'end date,' and yet it returns, ten years after the very first single Oh Please Be A Cocky Cool Kid. On stage, one encounters that lo-fi rock—at once garage, wonky pop, and punk—made of raw takes, pared-down structures, and choruses that stick without unnecessary polishing.
Since 2016, ShitKid has taken a series of turns: the home-made EP in Gothenburg, the strange DIY pop of Fish, the softer, more stripped-back This Is It, and then the pop-punk energy of Detention. Not forgetting Duo Limbo / Mellan himmel å helvete, recorded between Los Angeles and Austin with figures such as the Melvins and Paul Leary. This Paris date forms part of an anniversary tour and promises a set that traverses all these facets, between immediacy and experimentation, always direct and free.
