On February 18, 2027, Dave Lofts brings his singer-songwriter set to Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, with a live approach where folk, pop and soul naturally cross paths. Coming from County Wicklow and now based in Waterford, he’s built his name on the Irish circuit with a voice that’s rough around the edges and straight to the point, equally at home on an acoustic backbone or when the melodies open up.
If you first caught him through his live takes on Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” or Sam Fender’s “Seventeen Going Under”, this show puts the focus on what he’s been shaping in his own songs: “Tell Me”, “Let Me Go Home” and “Just A Man”, where he writes with clarity about anxiety and mental health without turning it into a speech. There’s also room for the side of him tied to Irish song culture, including his tribute to Shane MacGowan, “Song With No Name”.
