On February 13, 2027, Bazart will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen with their distinctive Dutch-language pop at the crossroads of indie and electronic music. With Mathieu Terryn, Simon Nuytten, and Oliver Symons at its core, the band has been crafting since the early 2010s a sound in which synths and tight rhythms engage in dialogue with subtle guitars and melodies that linger, while the lyrics often turn inward without becoming heavy.
Live, Bazart moves effortlessly between pop energy and a more melancholic undertone, with a lineup that is regularly augmented to let the layered productions breathe on stage as well. Think of the sound they have showcased since the EP Bazart and the album Echo, and which later crystallized further on 2 and Onderweg: more electronic texture, more room for collaboration, but always with language and timing as the engine. In Groningen, that comes together in a set that feels both tight and human.
