On Saturday 23 January 2027, Holly Humberstone brings her intimate, cinematic indie-pop to NX Newcastle. Built on diaristic writing and melodies that hit fast and close, her songs feel like late-night confessions turned into clean, nervy pop. Since the breakthrough EP Falling Asleep At The Wheel, she’s kept sharpening that raw, direct way of turning messy feelings into sing-alongs, moving from fragile guitar-led moments to bigger, darker textures.
This show lands in the wake of Paint My Bedroom Black, her debut album that pushed her sound into a more expansive space, and alongside newer material like Die Happy, where she leans into a moodier, more grown-up edge without losing the immediacy that made people latch on in the first place. Expect a set that plays with tension and release, quiet intensity and sudden choruses.
