On February 14, 2027, at the Opera House Manchester, Emeli Sandé marks 15 years of Our Version of Events with a show built around the record that first put her voice front and center. Expect the kind of set where piano lines lead the way, opening space for her blend of contemporary R&B, soul, gospel touches and clean pop writing.
Released in 2012 after the breakthrough of “Heaven”, Our Version of Events moves between soul ballads, orchestral pop and gospel motifs, and this anniversary night is a chance to hear those songs live again, with the same emphasis on melody and emotion rather than flash.
And because Sandé’s catalogue didn’t stop there, the celebration also naturally connects to where she’s taken her sound since: the more inward Long Live the Angels, the modern soul and rhythmic pop of Real Life, and the recent run of Let’s Say for Instance and How Were We to Know. A focused, voice-first evening from a songwriter who’s always treated the stage like an extension of the piano.
