Based in Los Angeles after growing up in Durham, North Carolina, Fox moves easily between jazz harmony, soul phrasing, hip-hop instincts and a more impressionistic touch, building instrumentals that feel both fluid and sharply structured.
Trained at Oberlin Conservatory, he’s not just a pianist: he writes, produces, and shifts between roles with the kind of musical curiosity that’s made him a go-to collaborator across scenes, from Childish Gambino and Masego to Kali Uchis and J.
