On April 14, 2027 at La Mécanique Ondulatoire (Paris), Laura Veirs will perform solo to unveil a new chapter in her folk/indie trajectory, shaped since the late 1990s by precise songwriting, chiaroscuro arrangements, and lyrics with literary echoes. After fourteen albums and collaborations that have taken her from k.d. lang to Sufjan Stevens or Neko Case, she returns with Temple Song, her first album in four years, entirely written, recorded, arranged, produced and performed solo.
On stage, the concept is an intimate, stripped-down format designed to let the songs breathe: nylon-string guitar in the foreground, a voice heard up close, and occasional bursts of electric energy to shake up the sweetness. A concert to rediscover her gift for sinuous melodies and her art of blending contemporary folk with ardent rock, without filters or entourage.
