Ultra Vomit lands at L’Espace Mayenne (Laval) on February 18, 2027, with their tour, faithful to what has defined their identity since their beginnings in Nantes at the end of the 1990s: metal played seriously, but never taken at face value. The band draws from death, grindcore, and heavy metal, and enjoys twisting conventions with a bluntly parodic sense of humor, French-language lyrics, and nods to pop culture as well as to the history of rock.
Over the course of their albums, from a very grindcore start on M. Patate to the more melodic writing of Objectif: Thunes, and then to the wide mix of styles on Panzer Surprise!, Ultra Vomit has refined its formula: tracks that are short or more anthemic, overt pastiches, and vocals that shift from growl to scream to clean singing without warning. On stage, it’s mainly a machine for chaining shifts in tone and ruptures, driven by the energy of live performances and a real talent for turning expectations on their head.
