The Darkness arrive in Belfast on December 1, 2026, at the Telegraph Building, with their glam-infused hard rock that blends tight riffs, pop choruses and a sense of theatre. Led by brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins, the band first rose to prominence in the early 2000s by reviving a highly melodic rock, propelled by Justin's falsetto and guitar harmonies that stick quickly. After the impact of Permission to Land and its now-iconic tracks, The Darkness continued to broaden their sound, balancing a heavier production with an unapologetic taste for cinematic scope, before a hiatus and then a return in their original lineup. Since reforming, the group has released a string of albums, with Rufus Taylor on drums since 2015, and a discography spanning Hot Cakes to Dreams on Toast. On stage, they deliver energy and precision, mixing nods to classic rock with a desire to make the audience sing along.
