Hidden Empire is the electronic project of Branko and Niklas, a German duo who emerged in the mid-2010s at the crossroads of melodic techno, house, and EBM influences. Active as a duo, Hidden Empire has issued since 2015 a series of debut maxis that establish a club-oriented writing but remain open to more atmospheric forms, with cosmic textures, gradual crescendos, and a pronounced sense of rhythmic contrast.
Their trajectory has been built through releases on various international labels and a regular presence in the circuit of electronic clubs and festivals. The sound of Hidden Empire rests on taut basslines, broad synthetic motifs and production that alternates hypnotic passages, more percussion-driven sequences, and darker detours. Not limited to a single register, Hidden Empire moves between tracks designed for the dancefloor and more immersive compositions, in a direct, dense and mobile aesthetic.
