On August 29, 2026, Distant Beach closes the season with Mees Salomé at Colorado Charlie in The Hague. The Dutch DJ and producer has been carving out his own corner of electronic club music for years, somewhere between melodic house, melodic techno, and progressive. His sets aren’t about quick drops, but about long arcs of tension, clear synth lines, and subtle details that gradually interlock.
Mees Salomé’s background comes through in that precision: he began producing early, studied Creative Production at Codarts in Rotterdam, and then consciously chose an independent path in which DJing and releases reinforce each other. With releases on labels such as Filth On Acid, This Never Happened and Armada, as well as remixes for Joris Voorn, Tinlicker and Röyksopp, he brings a sound that is both dancefloor-oriented and richly layered.
For this final beach edition, he takes his time: an extended journey, complemented by special guests (to be announced), in the spirit of Distant as a place where you can loosen up and let yourself be carried from sunset to the last record.
