If house music was the illegitimate child of disco, Dave Lee is one of those who can attest to it without raising his voice. With more than thirty years in the business and close to twenty albums, the British DJ, musician and producer (born on the Isle of Wight in 1964) has been mixing the pulse of house with the sparkle of disco since the early nineties: samples from classics, elastic basslines, lush strings and melodies with plenty of soul, always on that boundary where the groove rules.
For years he performed under the alias Joey Negro, the name by which he was known in clubs around the world, until he left it behind in 2020 as he felt it no longer suited the current context. The name changed, but not the way he builds sets with a club-ready approach and a producer's ear: soulful house, funk with a disco flavour, and a very personal way of weaving together tradition and the present. On 6 November 2026, at Sala Villanos (Madrid), he will put that legacy to work live again.
