Westbam comes to Cologne's Gewölbe on August 1, 2026—and brings four decades of club culture with him, without committing to any single sound. As one of the defining figures of German electronic music, he has never rested on a single sound: instead of nostalgia, there is movement, curiosity, and a clear focus on the moment. His sets seamlessly fuse past and present, at times angular, at times driving, always physical and straight from the heart of the night. Those who know Westbam know: this isn’t about a “Best of,” but about the flow that forms live on the dance floor. Etane opens the evening with a mix that doesn’t stand still either: modern disco grooves meet acid house peaks and EBM drive, with a clear eye toward the darker corners of the 80s and a few quirky references outside the usual.
