For Ref Session #17, UMA invites Zara, a DJ and producer born in Australia and based in London, also the founder of the Kinesis Recordings label. Her approach to playing and composing moves between skin-deep sensitivity, darker zones, and an energy that hooks quickly, with a taste for progressions that build tension and then release it.
In a set, Zara crafts immersive journeys where techno, trance and drum & bass respond to one another without stepping on each other's toes: psychedelic rhythms, organic textures, breaks that open up space, and more frontal moments, designed to move the dancefloor while leaving room for the unexpected. She has released on Spazio Disponibile, Amenthia and Animalia, and has already performed at events such as Dekmantel, Mostra or Unfold.
Alongside her, Aawadh, Alternativ3 and MDSC complete the line-up, with VJ/mapping visuals by Yvory. See you on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Frigo 16 in Nice.
