Ash return to the stage on 25 November 2026 at the Electric Ballroom in London. Formed in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, in the early 1990s around Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray, the trio carved out a distinctive place with edgy, melodic rock, somewhere between power pop, pop-punk and indie. Their songwriting cuts straight to the point: short, fast songs driven by catchy choruses.
Ash first came to prominence with the mini-album Trailer, and were propelled by 1977. They later broadened their range in the late 1990s and early 2000s, notably with Nu-Clear Sounds and Free All Angels, before returning to a more direct approach. Still active, the band continues to release music with the same energy, from Kablammo! to Islands, and on to Race the Night. A show built for straightforward, punchy guitars and choruses that stay with you after the first listen, with an opening act.
