Automatic Music and Renovo International present:

Mahogany live at Rough Trade Liverpool with special guests Resplandor and Adele Dazeem.

Mahogany (NYC)

Mahogany combines elements of post-punk, shoegaze, disco and classical into futuristic, architectural, symphonic compositions. Duo Andrew Prinz and Jaclyn Slimm combine vocals, twin 12-string guitars, massive bass, densely sequenced rhythms, synthesis, sampling and generative projections for an immersive effect known as the “Hypercube.”

Resplandor (Netherlands)

Resplandor is a Dutch shoegaze band known for its dense layers of guitars, ethereal vocals and immersive cinematic soundscapes. Blending shoegaze with elements of post-punk and post-rock, the band has built a reputation for its intense live performances.

Their albums Tristeza and Pleamar were produced by Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins) and mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive). Resplandor has toured in Europe and the UK with the Tristeza Tour, performing in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Strasbourg, Düsseldorf, Belfast and other cities. They have also headlined the Other Side Shoegaze & Dream Pop Weekender in London and performed at Gazefest in Belfast.

Resplandor has played shows in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Rotterdam, Leiden, The Hague, Düsseldorf, Kraków, Katowice, Antwerp, Utrecht, Malmö and Copenhagen, as well as the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival. The band has shared the stage with LSD and the Search for God in Utrecht and Paris.

In 2023, Resplandor opened for The Cure on their Shows of a Lost World tour, having previously supported the band in 2013. They have also performed at festivals including Wave-Gotik-Treffen (Germany), Grauzone (The Netherlands) and SXSW (USA).

Throughout their career, Resplandor has toured across Europe, South America and North America, sharing the stage with acts including The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Slowdive and LSD and the Search for God.

Adele Dazeem (UK)

Adele Dazeem is a band based in east London. Formed in 2020 by singer and guitarist Charlie Hearl, bassist Philippe O’Connor and drummer Frank Andrews, they have developed a sound that fuses a cutting urgency with ethereal ambience.

The name comes from a John Travolta mispronunciation, in contrast to the weight of their music, but the idea of a simple misread name became the starting point for their creative exploration of identity, ego, attachment and the different parts of ourselves.

Misère and Deep Sea Hand, released on Sonic Cathedral as one half of their debut EP, Metanoia, have both been played on Radio 6 and Radio X and earned them support shows with US shoegazers LSD & The Search For God and Whitelands. They are currently working on their debut album.
