Info

After his first album, Rock It, the harmonica player Greg Zlap presents an authentic and decidedly contemporary rock show. A tribute to Johnny Hallyday, with whom he spent more than ten years touring the stages. This rendition of fifteen iconic tracks pushes the boundaries and revives the blues spirit with great freedom.

An opportunity for everyone to sing along to 'Que je t'aime', 'Gabrielle', or 'Quelque chose de Tennessee'. All the music Greg Zlap loves comes from the blues and Johnny Hallyday, with whom he long shared on stage this passion and this common language. It is also the title of his album, conceived as a musical celebration and a tribute to the singer. A tribute that he shares with the collaboration of renowned guests such as MC Solaar, Thomas Dutronc, Fred Chapellier.

On stage at the Théâtre Le Carré Sainte-Maxime, surrounded by his musician-choristers (Eric Sauviat on guitar, Olivier Smith on bass, and Julien Boyé on drums), he reinvents fifteen Johnny Hallyday titles without ever straying from his signature instrument: the Hohner Marine Band. The French harmonica player, born in Warsaw, renowned and in high demand among the artists he accompanies (Jean-Jacques Milteau, Florent Pagny, Francis Cabrel, Charles Aznavour, Maxime Le Forestier), shared with Johnny Hallyday the same love of blues and the harmonica. The instrument becomes here a voice in its own right and dialogues with the guitars and the singing. Between improvisations and respect for the myth, his concert perpetuates this heritage with sincerity and physical and musical commitment.
