If the name Melrose Avenue rings a bell, that’s normal: this Sydney-based metalcore band has established itself in a few years with a well-balanced mix of massive riffs, melodic choruses, and songwriting that feels emotionally exposed. Discovered in 2022 thanks to tracks that circulated quickly, they refine a direct formula, between tension, catchiness and urgency, powered by modern production. After an online ascent, the band turns the experiment into studio work with tracks like Fool & The Beggar, Suffering, and Reflections, where raw energy remains always at the service of emotion. On February 6, 2027, at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, Melrose Avenue comes to defend this nervous, vocal metalcore, conceived for live shows as much as for headphone listening.
Opening, Arankai (an alt-metal/modern rock project based in the American Midwest) plays on contrast: heavy guitars, more expansive choruses, and a vocal intensity that skims post-hardcore. Launched independently in 2022, he builds a dark and introspective universe, tightened around short, tense songs. With A Portrait of Red (2025), the first announced installment of a trilogy, Arankai pushes further this blend of aggression and fragility, ideal to set the stage before Melrose Avenue’s onslaught.
