Info
On October 9, 2026, Jah Mason arrives at La Clef in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, with the Riddim Factory Band for a roots reggae night led by a vocal performance that is both deep and sharp. Born Andre Johnson, the Jamaican rose to prominence in 1991 with 'Selassie I Call We' under the alias Perry Mason, before adopting the name Jah Mason after joining the Bobo Ashanti order. On stage, he fully embraces his role as a singer-deejay: a captivating flow, an unapologetic Rastafari fervor, and lyrics that move from social commentary to intimate themes without losing the thread. A frequent traveler on European tours and festivals, he also knows how to handle the energy of a sound system: his collaboration with the Irie Ites label yielded tracks such as 'Dem A Gwaan', 'Bag A Talk', 'Tin Pan Sound' and 'Mother Earth'. Between one drop and digital touches, this concert promises a set built for the live show, carried by a frontman who loves to lift the crowd and sustain the tension to the last riddim.
