Syd Matters is the project of Jonathan Morali, a craftsman of intimate and hushed indie-folk that has established itself on the scene since 2003 with End & Start Again. Driven by a warm voice and melodies that unfold slowly, his repertoire has yielded standout tracks such as Black & White Eyes, Obstacles, To All Of You, and I Might Float, oscillating between fragile acoustic textures and hazier arrangements.
On stage, Morali plays with contrasts: gentleness on the edge of silence, then a swell with the band, without losing that attention to detail that defines his signature. After several albums, he has also extended his universe elsewhere, composing for image and video games, notably the Life Is Strange soundtrack, which opened his songs to a new audience.
