If the name Scratch Massive has been circulating since the late 1990s, it’s because Maud Geffray and Sébastien Chenut have managed to evolve their Parisian electronic sound into something more narrative, at once club-oriented and songlike. First noticed with maxis tailored for the dancefloor, the duo glided from Enemy & Lovers (2003) toward formats that are more written, where drum machines, synth textures and guest vocals shape tracks meant as much for listening as for the night.
With Nuit de rêve (2011), Scratch Massive pushes the synth-pop and cold wave envelope even further: tempos often mid-tempo, dark melodies, a sense of an accompanying soundtrack. This cinematic dimension is also nourished by the project through its music for the screen, something reflected live in immersive shows, halfway between a concert and a set. Scratch Massive will be on the bill at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes on 21 November 2026.
