For its fifth album, Vaudou Game expands its universe by blending African and Latin American influences, symbolically linking Togo to Colombia. At the heart of the project, OTODI Studio and its analog equipment host a range of collaborations: the Nana Benz of Togo bring their vocal harmonies, while Lomé Vio enriches the sound with a vocal-guitar-accordion trio. Led by Peter Solo, the group preserves its identity of funk infused with voodoo mysticism, blending highlife and cumbia. Between retro-futuristic-sounding instruments and hypnotic groove, the tracks invite dancing while conveying political, human and ecological messages, beneath a layer of sarcasm and humor, taking care to conceal them to better serve a joyful and danceable trance.
With the subliminal rallying cry to repay Africa, the people, the Earth. Fintou! As the evening's opening act, at Quai des Rêves on September 19, 2026 at 7 p.m., the students and teachers of the Conservatoire de Lamballe Terre & Mer gather around an eclectic repertoire.
