If you're missing a label to put it in a case, that's normal: Mykki Blanco has always moved between rap, performance, and poetry. Raised between California and North Carolina and revealed on the New York scene of the 2010s, their music blends experimental hip hop and alternative rap with punk, noise, and electronic impulses. In live performances, the flow changes shape, spoken word slips between abrasive or more atmospheric beats, and the lyrics make room for gender identity, sexuality, and personal fragilities from a queer perspective. From early mixtapes like Cosmic Angel: The Illuminati Prince/ss and the EP Betty Rubble: The Initiation to albums such as Mykki, Broken Hearts & Beauty Sleep, or Stay Close to Music, their career spans from head-on shocks to more melodic moments, bordering on soul, pop, and ambient. They are slated for October 24, 2026 at Dabadaba, in Donostia / San Sebastián.
