Led by Belgian musician Joachim Liebens, The Haunted Youth lands in Groningen on March 15, 2027, on the SPOT/De Oosterpoort stage, with its dream pop bearing psychedelic edges. Behind guitars drenched in reverb, the hazy keyboards and melodies that stick quickly, the band maintains a balance between discreet shoegaze and more direct indie rock.
First noticed in the early 2020s thanks to a string of singles including Teen Rebel, The Haunted Youth quickly found a place on the indie scene, before touring Europe. Their debut album Dawn of the Freak (2022) lays the foundations: melancholic pop that speaks of adolescence, doubts and imaginary escapes, without overdoing it. In live performances, the project gains another thickness: more texture, more tension, while keeping the dreamlike textures that define its signature.
