This intimate conviction was forged over more than fifteen years during which he accompanied Johnny as musical director. It constitutes the starting point of a singular project entrusted to him: to restore the full strength and emotion of Johnny Hallyday's voice as it resonated in concert, while offering the sonic frame enabled by studio recordings.

From this ambition arose two albums: in 2019, Johnny, and in 2021 Acte II. Both rest on an innovative principle: preserving Johnny Hallyday's live vocal takes and highlighting them with new arrangements, sometimes symphonic, sometimes deliberately pared back. A tribute to the artist, with the intensity that the stage knew how to reveal.

One idea naturally imposes itself: to return these songs to their original venue, the stage. In May 2022, Johnny Symphonique hit the road for an initial twenty-date tour. Under Yvan Cassar's direction, more than one hundred musicians, a choir and a visual creation accompany Johnny's voice, projected on three giant screens. The classics regain their breath: Diego, libre dans sa tête, L'Envie, Allumer le feu, Que je t’aime, but also Marie, Sang pour sang, or Je te promets. A new series of concerts is planned for spring 2024, enriched with new titles including Gabrielle, Noir, c’est noir or the rhythm and blues medley imagined by Johnny in the sixties. The repertoire expands, the emotion remains intact.

In 2027, as the audience prepares to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Johnny Hallyday's death, Johnny Symphonique opens a new chapter. From 10 November 2027, the show will run for 23 dates across France until March 2028. Still under Yvan Cassar's direction, it will continue to make this voice heard, carried by the power of a symphonic orchestra and a crafted staging. This new tour will offer new musical tableaux, an enriched repertoire and several guests who will come to share this celebration.
