FM – Celebrating 40 Years of Indiscreet
British melodic rock band FM are performing shows to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their debut album Indiscreet, originally released in 1986 at 229 London. The album that first introduced the band’s melodies, choruses and style remains a reference in the UK rock scene, and these shows mark four decades of music.
Formed in the mid-80s by brothers Steve and Chris Overland, FM became one of Britain’s enduring rock bands, earning acclaim for their live performances and chart releases. Today’s line-up – Steve Overland (vocals), Merv Goldsworthy (bass), Pete Jupp (drums), Jem Davis (keyboards) and Jim Kirkpatrick (guitar) – continues to embody the band’s blend of melody and muscle.
“From our meeting in a Notting Hill pub in 1984 to our ‘one-off’ comeback gig at Firefest 2007, it’s amazing to still be doing this,” says drummer Pete Jupp.
